Questions we hear most

What kind of properties is BookingEdge for?

Hotels, resorts, homestays, villas and multi-property groups in India. Each property can switch on only the outlets it runs: restaurant, spa, mini bar and banquets.

Is the accounting a separate product?

No. Accounting is built in. Every booking, bill, payment and refund posts to proper double-entry books, so the front office and the accounts never disagree.

Does BookingEdge handle GST?

Yes. Invoices carry HSN/SAC codes and CGST/SGST or IGST by place of supply; credit notes, GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B figures, TDS/TCS and e-invoice request files are included. Tax rates are your configuration; check them with your tax adviser.

Do I get my own booking website?

Yes. Each live property gets a direct booking page with live availability, prices and online payment, which you can link from your website and social profiles.

Does BookingEdge connect to OTAs and Google Hotels?

Direct connectivity with major OTAs and Google Hotels is in development. Until each connection is certified by that partner, OTA bookings are entered in BookingEdge with the OTA's booking number so nothing is entered twice. See the Channel manager page for the current status.

Where is my data kept and who can see it?

Data is kept on access-controlled cloud servers. Each company's data is isolated, staff see only the properties they are given, passwords are stored as Argon2id hashes, data travels over HTTPS and every change is logged. See the Security page.
