Terms of service

Last updated 21 October 2026. These terms govern use of the BookingEdge website and service provided by Fydigit.

1. The agreement

By creating an account or using BookingEdge you agree to these terms on behalf of the business you represent (the "Customer"). If you do not agree, do not use the service. An order form or written agreement signed with us takes precedence over these terms where they differ.

2. The service

BookingEdge is cloud software for running hotels and similar properties: bookings, front office, outlets, housekeeping, a booking engine and accounting. Features described as "in development" or "planned" are not part of the service until we make them available. Connections to third-party channels go live only after the third party approves them, and their availability depends on that third party.

3. Accounts and access

  • The Customer is responsible for its users, for keeping sign-in details confidential, and for the permissions it gives each user.
  • Tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised use of an account.
  • We may suspend access that threatens the security or integrity of the service, and will tell you why.

4. Customer data

The Customer owns the data it enters, including guest and financial data. The Customer is responsible for having a lawful basis to collect guest data and for the accuracy of its configuration, including room rates, tax codes and tax rates. We process Customer data only to provide the service and as described in our privacy policy. On request at the end of the subscription we will make the Customer's data available for export for 30 days before deleting it, except where the law requires us to keep it.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: do not break the law, infringe others' rights, upload malicious code, probe or overload the service, try to access another customer's data, or resell the service without our written agreement.

6. Fees and taxes

Fees are as stated in the plan or order form the Customer accepts, payable in advance unless agreed otherwise, and exclusive of GST and other applicable taxes. Refunds follow our refund and cancellation policy. We may change prices for the next billing period with at least 30 days' notice.

7. Availability and support

We aim to keep the service available at all times except for planned maintenance, which we try to schedule outside busy hours, and events beyond our reasonable control. Support is available by email during Monday to Saturday, 10:00–18:00 IST.

8. Third-party services

Payment gateways, OTAs, Google and other services the Customer connects are provided by those third parties under their own terms. We are not responsible for their services, decisions, fees or availability.

9. Intellectual property

We own the BookingEdge software, website and brand. The Customer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during its subscription. Feedback you give us may be used to improve the service.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is". Tax, accounting and compliance features apply the Customer's own configuration; they are not legal or tax advice, and the Customer should confirm its filings with a qualified adviser.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data that could have been avoided by reasonable backups, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees the Customer paid us in that period.

12. Term and termination

Subscriptions run for the period in the plan and renew unless cancelled. Either party may end the agreement for a material breach not fixed within 30 days of notice.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Kolkata, West Bengal have exclusive jurisdiction.
